The Artist:
William D. Plante is an artist with the camera. It is no coincidence that many of these litmited edition original photographic prints have often been mistaken for paintings, because the artist is also a painter. His influence from painting has carried over to his photographic style. A thorough mastery of his equipement, a trained eye, and a strong sense of design and color combine to give William Plante's images a painterly quality.
The artist's deep appreciation of the natural beauty of our land, developed over many years of travel, along with a keen observation of life has made William D. Plante an accomplished artist. His art has been widely collected and enjoyed throughtout the United States and Europe.
We are now pleased to present this Limited Collection after being stored away for over 15 years. Originally, William Plante collectors requested that he create a new series of works to be distributed in the late 1980's which was called, The William D. Plante Collection. These photos were taken with a 35mm camera with only filters to add the unique touch and quality, no computer touch-ups in this era.
Each photograph is individually printed on photographic paper from a master negative and is protected with an optically clear overlay film which has a non-glare, matte finish that eliminates distracting light reflections and allows the art to be clearly viewed from any angle. This superior overlay film feature further protects the print from abrasion, moisture, fingerprints and fading from ultra-violet light. The print may either be dusted or cleaned with a damp cloth.
These prints are not matted or framed and come to two sizes: 20 x 24 or 24 x 30 |
